Submission Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm compliance with the following requirements. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be returned without peer review.

Originality and Prior Dissemination

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by any other journal. Any prior dissemination (preprint, conference paper, thesis, or working paper) has been disclosed in the cover letter.
  • The similarity index does not exceed 20% (Turnitin), excluding references and direct quotations.

Manuscript Preparation

  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  • The text follows the formatting requirements stated in the Author Guidelines: Sakkal Majalla 14pt for Arabic and Times New Roman 12pt for English, line spacing 1.15, and standard margins.
  • The manuscript length is between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including references and appendices.
  • All figures, tables, and illustrations are placed within the text at the appropriate points and are accompanied by interpretive captions.
  • References follow APA 7th edition, and DOIs have been provided wherever available.
  • The manuscript includes a structured abstract (200–250 words) and 5–6 keywords, in both Arabic and English.

Anonymization for Double-Blind Review

  • The main manuscript file is fully anonymized: author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding details, and identifying self-citations have been removed or replaced with neutral terms.
  • A separate Title Page file has been prepared, containing all author identification details, ORCID iDs, contributions, and disclosures.

Authorship and Identifiers

  • All listed authors have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the work, in accordance with the CRediT taxonomy.
  • A valid ORCID iD is provided for every author.
  • The corresponding author has obtained written approval from all co-authors prior to submission.

Ethical Compliance

  • For studies involving human participants: the manuscript includes the IRB / ethics committee approval number and a statement of informed consent.
  • Conflict of Interest Statement is included.
  • Funding Statement is provided (including grant numbers, where applicable).
  • Any use of generative AI tools is disclosed in the Methodology section, with tool name, version, and purpose.

Data Availability

  • Empirical articles include a Data Availability Statement in line with the journal's Data Availability Policy.
  • Where possible, supporting datasets have been deposited in a trusted repository (e.g., Figshare, Zenodo, Mendeley Data, OSF), with the DOI or URL provided in the statement.

Required Submission Files

  • Anonymized main manuscript (.docx).
  • Title Page (separate file with full author details).
  • Cover letter explaining the contribution and relevance of the manuscript.
  • Signed Author Declaration / Copyright Form (CC-BY-NC 4.0).

The ARADO Business Journal (ABJ) invites original manuscripts in English or Arabic that comply with the following requirements:

1. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

All submissions must include the following, with bilingual (Arabic + English) abstracts mandatory regardless of the language of the main text:

  • References: APA 7th Edition | Minimum 25 recent and relevant sources | DOIs provided where available

2. FORMATTING SPECIFICATIONS

  • Font (Arabic): Sakkal Majalla 14pt body; 18pt bold title; 16pt headings
  • Font (English): Times New Roman 12pt body; 14pt bold title; 12pt bold headings
  • Line spacing: 1.15 (body); single for tables, captions, and references
  • Margins: Top 4.3 cm | Bottom 3.2 cm | Left/Right 2.5 cm
  • Length: 6,000–10,000 words including references and appendices (≈ 25 pages)
  • Tables/Figures: Editable formats (Excel / .eps / PDF / high-resolution .png); numbered sequentially with interpretive captions
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

3. ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS

5. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE (APC)

  • Submission: Free of charge
  • Post-acceptance APC: USD 200
  • Full waivers available for authors from low-income/lower-middle-income economies — contact: abj@arado.org
  • Note: APC and waivers have no influence on editorial decisions

6. PEER REVIEW & TIMELINE

Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers; expected review timeframe 30–45 days; submission to first decision typically 8–12 weeks.
