Arado Business Journal (ABJ) ensures long-term digital preservation and permanent accessibility of all published content through trusted archiving systems and international standards.
Primary Archiving Systems
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) – Integrated with the OJS 3.x platform to automatically preserve all publications.
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) – Distributed preservation network that collects, preserves, and serves the journal's archival units.
View LOCKSS Manifest - CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) – Global dark archive ensuring continuity of access in the event of system failure.
View CLOCKSS Manifest - ARADO Digital Library – Institutional repository for redundant backup.
Preservation Standards
- All published articles are archived within 24 hours of publication.
- Multiple geographic backup locations for redundancy.
- Compliance with ISO 14721:2012 (OAIS Reference Model).
- Retention period: Permanent.
File Formats Preserved
- PDF/A – primary access format.
- JATS XML – machine‑readable metadata for indexing and interoperability.
- Original submission files (Word / LaTeX) – retained for preservation integrity.
Access Guarantee
In the event of journal discontinuation, access to all content will remain available through:
- League of Arab States’ institutional and digital repositories.
- PKP PN dark archive trigger protocols.
- National Library of Egypt legal deposit mechanisms.
Verification
Archived content can be verified and audited via the PKP PN and repository logs when available.
