Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices—green recruitment, green training, green compensation and rewards, and green performance appraisal—on Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in cement factories in Yemen. In addition, it sought to assess the level of implementation of these practices within the sector. Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach. A total of 305 questionnaires were distributed to administrative employees in four cement factories, of which 292 were returned, and 281 were deemed valid for analysis. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings: The results revealed a strong and statistically significant positive relationship between GHRM practices and EMS in Yemeni cement factories. The level of influence of these practices was found to be relatively high, with variations in the strength of impact across different dimensions. Moreover, the application of EMS demonstrated a relatively advanced level. The study concluded that GHRM practices effectively contribute to enhancing EMS; however, their institutional activation still requires further development and integration.
